Why should I switch my pillar 3a?

You already have a pillar 3a? Make a pillar 3a comparison with your current provider here. This is how much you can benefit with frankly.

That's how easy it is:

Transfer via App

  1. Download app: Open your pillar 3a in just a few minutes with your preferred strategy.
  2. Start transfer: After opening, navigate to the start screen of the frankly app and open the “Pillar 3a” tile. Select the account you want or click on the three dots on the right. Then click on “Transfer” or “Transfer to frankly”.
  3. Select provider: Select your current pension provider from which you would like to transfer your pillar 3a assets to frankly.
  4. Enter details: Enter your policy number or the IBAN number from your current provider. If you don’t have them available right now, you can skip this step.
  5. Obtain PDF: Decide whether you would like to receive the PDF by post (incl. pre-paid envelope) or download and print it yourself.
  6. Submit form: Check your details, sign the form and send it to your current provider as soon as possible.

Done! Opening a pillar 3a account with frankly and transferring your assets is that easy.

How do I benefit if I transfer my existing pillar 3a to frankly?

  1. Attractive costs: Thanks to frankly’s all-in fee, it is 59% cheaper than comparable securities savings solutions. The all-in fee on securities balances is currently only 0.44%. The more users save together, the cheaper it will become, thanks to the community discount.
  2. Different investment strategies: You can open up to five pillar 3a accounts in the frankly app and choose completely different investment strategies for each pillar.
  3. Easy to open and manage: With frankly, it’s simple to manage your retirement planning entirely online. No bank visits and no paperwork.

How long does it take to transfer to frankly?

Depending on the provider, it may take several weeks to complete the order. When making the transfer, please note that your securities will be sold and then reinvested. This means that you won’t have any investments for a few days. If you have index-linked funds, you will also be required to pay issuing and redemption fees to the funds. However, we will cover any fees related to the transfer for you (see the question in the frankly FAQ: “Will frankly cover my costs for transferring the funds to frankly from my bank?”). Our frankly support service will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Incidentally, the entire 3a assets in an account are always liquidated and transferred to the new provider, since individual pillar 3a accounts cannot be split for legal reasons.

How do I get my transfer costs reimbursed?

To get a refund of your transaction costs or account closing fees for your transfer to frankly, please send us your fee statement from your former bank foundation to support@frankly.zkb.ch.

We will grant you the refund as a discount on the all-in fee. You’ll see it at the end of the quarter under «Profile» -> «Fees».
